ChatThemeAdd to Chrome

Privacy

ChatTheme changes how ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini look. It is built so that it never needs your conversations — and it never reads, stores or transmits them.

What the extension does on chatgpt.com, claude.ai and gemini.google.com

What we store

AI processing

When you generate or edit a theme, your description and the current theme data are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to produce the new theme. Nothing from your conversations is included. When you ask the assistant to hide or move a part of the chat site itself (a "site tweak"), a list of the page's buttons, links and labels is sent along so it can find that part; it never contains your conversation titles, messages, what you are typing, or your name or email.

Analytics

We use PostHog for product analytics (for example “theme applied”, which site, extension version). Events never contain message content. This website uses PostHog only if analytics is enabled for the deployment.

The extension also sends a small daily usage summary tied to a random install id (and to your account while you are signed in): version, operating system, language, whether it is switched on, which theme is applied, and counts such as how many ChatGPT or Claude pages were opened with a theme. Daily summaries are deleted after about 13 months. When you uninstall, we note the date and, if you choose to answer, why you left.

When you rate an AI theme or send a problem report, we store your rating or message with the theme, the prompt that made it (for ratings), and for reports the site, the page type without any chat ids, the extension version, your browser and what the extension found on the page; never your conversations.
